Juliet's death is a result of misunderstanding and little thinking. Not one person is responsible for her death, everyone is. Not only was she pressured by her parents, the nurse, and Friar Lawrence, but she was also scared of what might happen, should the truth come out. She was secretly wed to another man, which limited her options even further. In the end, she was killed by misunderstanding and silence. Because she didn't speak with anyone about anything that went on, no one ever knew what was going on. That's why it's not one persons fault, least of all Paris (poor dude :// just wanted a wife). This story could have been resolved if any of the characters spook to each other, but because they don't, Juliet becomes trapped, and Romeo mistakes unconscious Juliet for dead Juliet, leading to his remarkably stupid, and impeccably timed suicide.

I think that Juliet's parents are responsible for her death and suicide because her father was never nice to her and her mother was not a very good mother. While lady Capulet had lots of affection for her daughter she still didn't understand what Juliet wanted and also didn't stand up for her. Lord Capulet looked at Juliet as a peace offering and a useful tool to get an heir and an ally. Neither of her parents listened to her and this is why she killed herself. When Friar Lawrence tried to help Juliet to get her parents to understand her more he had a good idea. I didn't work though because, in the end, Juliet took her life because of her parents' decisions to not let her do what she wanted to.

Although Juliet's parents are not without blame, due to their lack of understanding and support of what Juliet actually wants, ultimately Juliet's death is her own fault. Every action that she took throughout the course of the play was dramatic and unnecessary. Upon meeting and falling for Romeo, she could have attempted to appeal to her parents, explaining that it is "true love" and "meant to be." Instead, she decided to not only date him in secret, but also to marry him in secret. If Juliet had even then told her parents that she married a boy whom she loved then maybe her parents would have not forced Juliet to marry Count Paris, or at the very least, Romeo and Juliet could have run away together. Once again she decided to keep this news to herself, allowing her parents to arrange a marriage for her. When her father tells Juliet about her upcoming wedding, she provides no reason as to why she shouldn't marry Paris, for example that she is already married. Then, seeing no no other way out of the wedding, Juliet appeals to Friar Lawrence, to enact the sketchiest plan of the entire play. Taking the potion and faking her own death was her own choice, and a drastic measure considering she also could have, once again, run away. Finally, upon seeing her dead husband and lover she stabs herself, which, while dramatic, is at least consistent. To conclude, Juliet's choices were not made without outside pressures, but they were here choices.

Friar Laurence is responsible for the death of Juliet. He came up with a foolish plan that put Juliet in grave danger. He also was not careful enough. He should have seen to it that his plan reached Romeo, weather that means placing the letter in his hands himself, or telling him personally. There were so many complications to a plan that, as Asher put it, ultimately resulted in R & J running away together. This plan could have and should have been carried out without putting Juliet in grave danger. He was careless and it cost two their lives.

The feud and Juliet's parents combined, are responsible for her death. She felt neglected and unwanted. They firmly forced her to marry Paris, who she never had a real connection with, by threatening to kick her out if she resisted. As the wedding date approached, Juliet's pent up emotions increasingly grew, including fear, anxiety, and anger. All of this combined with the fact that she was madly in love with Romeo and their love was forbidden was too much for her. She felt trapped in an environment without trust or affection, truly believing that the only thing keeping her there was Romeo. So, when she woke up and experienced the shock to seeing her loved one right next to her, without a second thought she was convinced she had no reason to stay alive.

In my opinion, I believe that Juliet's parents are responsible for her death. The feud between the two families, made it so that Romeo and Juliet could not be together. Her parents wanted and forced her to marry Paris. Their idea of her marrying Paris, would do good for the family. Her parents could care less who she wanted. If she were not to obey their rules, she would've been kicked out of her own home. Or at least what she thought she could've called home. She may have not been mentally prepared for being that young and being forced to marry someone.

I think that Juliets parents are responsible for her death. They never gave her a choice whether to marry Paris or not, nor did they even ask her opinion on who she wanted to marry. At the very least they should have given her more days to figure things out with Romeo and calm herself and let her figure out what to do, instead of rushing it. This caused her stress as well as anxiety, and led her to make a bad decision instead of gathering herself more and preparing more.

I think that it is primarily the Capulets and partially the Montegues fault. If Juliets parents didn't pressure her to marry Paris she would not have felt like it was necessary to take such drastic actions. The Montegues were partially to blame as well because they didn't get along with the Capulets so they would not let Romeo hang out with Juliet. Also if they had been better parents their kids might have talked to them about it instead of keeping it a secret and killing themselves. Finally I also think Friar Lawrence is partially to blame because he should have made sure Romeo heard the plan before he game Juliet the fake poison.

Juliet is responsible for her death. Ultimately a person is responsible for their own actions despite her feeling there was no other choice. Although, there were many other factors that made her feel she needed to kill herself. These for instance include her parents forcing her to marry Paris, her parents giving her an ultimatum, falling in love with Romeo, etc. As Romeo lay there lifeless she quickly made the choice to die beside him even though they had only known each other for a small frame of time and they were young, not knowing what they really wanted as life progressed. So, even though other people influenced her choice it was her who decided to die in the end.

I think Juliet's parents are the ones to blame. Her parents are to blame because her father doesn't care for her and her mother has never really been a mother. Her father doesn't care for her because he tried making her marry someone she doesn't want to marry. He also said to Juliet that if she does not marry Paris, she will be kicked out of the family. Her mother contributed to her death by not being present in her life. Juliet's parents are responsible because if they had been present and supporting of Juliet's decisions in her life, she wouldn't have been in this predicament.

There are many people at fault for Juliet's death. Juliet, her parents and Friar Laurence are all responsible for her death. Overall, Juliet is the main one responsible for her death with many people influencing her. She is responsible because she didn't have to kill herself or go through with Friar Laurence's plan. I don't think the blame can be put on other people because she is in control of her actions, not other people. However, her parents played a large role in her death. If they had raised her with some parental affection and hadn't forced her to marry Paris, she probably would not have killed herself. Lord Capulet didn't show Juliet any respect for her wishes and forced her to marry Paris or die on the streets. If Juliet's father had cared for her and had not been so focused on the money, many of the events in the play would not have happened. I think Friar Laurence is also responsible for her death because he was the one that enabled her to go through with this plan. Friar Laurence gave Juliet the idea and enabled her to do it with the poison. He didn't really consider any of the risks that came with his plan. Romeo could have prevented her death too by not killing himself and just grieving. All the other characters and family rivalry in the play seem to impact the outcome of the play too.

I believe that in the end, even if they didn't force her to take her own life, the Capulets are responsible for Juliet's death. The Montagues might not directly be related to Juliet's death, but they still hold responsibility for what happened in that tomb. They didn't give Romeo and Juliet any options. With the importance of family at this period in time, when Juliet felt the whole wrath of her parents coming down on her for not obeying them, she decided that she has no choice. As well as the fact that it shows an insight to the love they supposedly shared, it highlights how miserable her life under their care really was, because they truly didn't care at all about her happiness, that is why she felt so much like Romeo was the only thing that brought her any joy. Whether or not the love was real, Romeo was the only thing Juliet was truly positive about and her parents should have recognized that and not forced either kids hand. Even if she never met Romeo, or never had to make that decision so early in her life, the household was too toxic for her, and no matter what would not have been good for her mental health because her parents were so controlling with all of their decisions. The Capulets should hold the guilt for both of the lives lost because even though they ended up making amends, it was too little too late for them to recognize how they really made their daughter feel so trapped she needed to take her own life.

Juliet's parents are largely responsible for her death. For one, they maintained the rivalry between families, and if this was nonexistent, they would likely have been able to be together. They also never showed her any love or support. Through the play, it is revealed that the Nurse is more motherly to Juliet than Lady Capulet. If Lady Capulaite had played a more dominant maternal role in Juliet's life, then she could have raised her to have more critical thinking. Also, if they were close, Juliet would be able to have someone to confide in, and her mother's advice would likely prevent her from acting so desperately. He parents also forced her to marry Paris despite her reserves. By forcing this, they were asserting their dominance over her, and further breaking down any relationship where she could have come to them as equals. This also shows them as powerful and that they didn't care about her feelings which may have leade her to feel lonely, adding to the mental breakdown that caused her to kill herself when the one person she loved and who loved her back died.

I believe the feud between the two families is responsible for both Juliet *and* Romeo's death. If there was no feud, Juliet wouldn't be afraid of dating and marrying someone from the other family. She wouldn't have to hide it. Because she had to hide it, The Friar had to make a plan, etc. that hinged on a lot of uncontrollable variables. Because of the feud, they are trapped in a state of hiding and lying that ultimately causes their deaths at the end of the play.

I believe that Lord and Lady Capulet are responsible for Juliet's death. Neither of her parents ever showed any affection for Juliet, they were forcing her to marry Paris, which Juliet didn't want to do. Yet her parents didn't listen to her, instead Lord Capulet made it very clear that she would marry Paris or else she wouldn't be part of the family. Lord Capulet wanted Paris to be apart of the family because he would be very helpful with the kingdom. Yet Juliet fell in love with Romeo instead of Paris which lead her to fake her own death. If Juliet's parents were more understanding she would have never had to fake her own death because she could have been with Romeo from the start.
